WEEKEND RECAP.

our weekend was jam packed with goodness!

we kicked it off thursday with birthday celebrations. b surprised me with the cake pictured above from a very fancy local bakery. then we had a lavish dinner at seastar. seafood for the win!

i spent saturday morning in a nearly two-hour session with a personal trainer. happy birthday to myself? i puked once and cried a few tears, but didn't quit. at the end she told me first timers usually stop in the middle and they just walk around the block and talk for the last half an hour. i totally would have elected for that, had i known that was an option. i would say my current pain level is still a six out of ten. ouch.

on sunday, my little sister graduated from college! i was beyond sad that i couldn't be there, but her school live webcasts the ceremony. it was so cool. i could see her super clearly! b and i cheered when her name was called. go em, so proud. can you even believe that is possible? we totally live in the future.

about to go watch how i met your mother. i've been watching for four years and heard tonight's episode is when we actually meet that dang mother, so i can't wait.

p.s. today marks exactly two months to the wedding, eeep!

weekend with the sister.

this weekend was great. for the sister's visit, we had to do another tour de nash, like we did last time she was here. first stop: rosepepper, of course.

second stop: jeni's. ...of course.

in between: we went shopping all over town, visited mom at work, sipped wine from my new missoni glasses, ate homemade pizza and saw taylor swift.

sunday morning: goodbye breakfast at cracker barrel.

oh, you know, just a cat hanging out in the car. my sister's cat mos. she just lets him walk around as they make the drive to ohio and back.

here's my weekend in a few snapshots.

we drove outside of the city for a fantasy football draft. had to catch the sunset. sidenote: i'm feeling very good about my team!

went and spent time at the parent's. jadie was very excited to see me.

we went to a restaurant for lunch in a strip mall next to the thrift store. it was actually pretty good.

courtney and i powwowed to work on blogs. we weren't exactly productive.

but i did get kitty time!

i made a makeshift light box for a work project and used my {really cute!} new shoes as practice.

not pictured: watching a lot of bones reruns, another visit to jeni's and reading all the super thick september issues of my fav mags.
