I TOTALLY DO THINGS BESIDES WEDDING PLAN. NOT REALLY.

i haven't taken out my dslr since february, but here are some things i did catch recently with my phone.

i participated in a work event last week that was held on and around the university of washington campus. it is pretty - and was named one of the 15 most beautiful - but i am still partial to the brick lined streets of athens.

the sunny skies of the uw photo may lead you to believe it doesn't rain every single day here. and you would be very wrong. walking to work in it is the worst. upside: i have a ton of cute new rain gear.

if we are eating out in seattle, we are at little water. however, i talked b into hopping into a bar that's a block away from our house: belltown pub. the service was great and they serve hush puppies, which basically caused me to have a flashback to our days in the good old south. plus, they allow dogs. 

sidebar: i want a dog so, so, so badly. i routinely talk to dogs while on my walk to work {"you are so pretty!"}, know the name of our neighbor's dog {fiona}, but not the name of our actual human neighbor, and basically freak out whenever i see one. now, if we just had a house, a yard, mo monies and a bff who could babysit him/her when we were out of town, we could totally get a dog!

we finally {only two months in} explored our neighborhood a bit last weekend. we walked down to the sculpture park and this is what is right beyond it: the beach. it's no sunny california, but the gorgeous view  does make me just a bit less mad about the daily precipitation.

we may or may not have rushed to get noshville for breakfast at the nash airport before we left. it was on the short list of things we had been missing.

these past few weeks have been busy, but hoping that as the year starts winding down - only 40 days left! - that our schedules do, too.

what. a. weekend. here are some quick snaps from the past few days.

sister! sunrise from the plane, courtesy of mr. b. celebrating getting the keys to our new home at the mexican place within walking distance, salty rita's. very impressed at the clean carpets in the townhouse. picking up items at ikea and riding the cart escalator - i had no idea it locked the wheels for you! i was holding on for dear life. movin' hillbilly style with the mattress on the roof of the car. goodbye old apartment. a new {opinionated} neighbor. flowers from our new grocery store thanks to my sweet bf.

we are officially moved into our new home. so happy and so tired! here's to a great week.

we are back in the running game! last saturday we completed our first 5k of 2012.

another lake at wash park that i didn't know existed. champagne happy hour with femfessionals at corridor 44. view driving into downtown denver. morning view of coors field. new business cards. celebrating finishing the "set the pace" 5k in the beer garden. gophers on the 5k trail. free famous dave's bbq sandwiches, his i'm-happy-but-don't-take-my-picture face. our first foray into fast food in forever for lunch, which resulted in not eating for the rest of the day.

some of my favorite photos from the past week or so. well, that last one was't a high note, but it is a good story.

new dress from the super sale rack at anthropologie {$29!}. we are picky about sushi, but it never fails that our favorite ends up being from our local grocery store. tunnel through downtown denver. a little bit of tennessee, found on the shelves at king sooper's. handy man fixing my car's air conditioner - it's been 90+ here,  so thankful he got it working again! jiffy pop. watching a storm roll in. old school mario kart. injury caused after a mario kart-frustration-induced leg kick, when my face fought a losing battle with a glass cup.

i realize that last photo is ridiculous, but the whole situation was! who accidentally kicks a cup into their face?! and gets a huge cut from it?!! i'm just glad i didn't lose any teeth. #worstnightmare

it's always a good one when we come out with the same number of chompers as we started with. happy wednesday, friends!

the parking situation in denver is out of control. most homes don't have driveways and even at stores you may end up having to park on the street. needless to say, my parallel parking skills are getting serious practice.

our alma mater is in the sweet 16 for the first time since the 1960s! INSANE. the games were actually in nashville this past weekend, so disappointed we couldn't be there, but it was still great watching from our couch. this friday we play unc. wish us luck!

not a ton of photos today, because i was sick all weekend. i have strep throat again. and my doctor wants me to get my tonsils out. no thank you. here's what happened in our uneventful weekend.

clearly, i am prepped for 4th of july. also, i watch way (way!) too much "i survived". last night, one of the features was a lady who lived through the nashville floods. crazy. not pictured: i sneezed a ton, took a bunch of meds, slept through sunday and watched "red dawn" for the first time.
