missoni for target.

alright, i admit it: i was one of the crazies who wanted all the missoni for target stuff.

i was not, however, one of the supercraze who were outside the store when they launched. i waited until my lunch break, thankyouverymuch.

nashville flea market.

this weekend i did a whole lotta nothing. luckily, last weekend i was super busy, so you can enjoy my happenings from then, instead of me telling you about my epic afternoon nap yesterday. you're welcome.

last saturday afternoon was spent sweating soaking up the sun at the nashville flea market with vickie and courtney! this was my first time. i was super tempted by a bunch of different vintage items, and couldn't turn down just a few.

there was some good stuff. a b stamp came home with me!

there was some {realllly} scary stuff.

there was some bad stuff. {i bet my mom could set up an entire flea market stand with her beanie baby collection.}

there was the amusing.

and the just plain weird.

(although i'm totally tempted. i love socks. i mean LOVE.)


and there was, of course, the sweaty.

i've introduced etsy to three people at work since last month. i thought everyone and their brother (okay, most likely mother) were ordering stuff off there like crazy. just me? i have etsy all over my house, and it's some of my favorite things. por exemplo:

dress update.

alright. my piperlime dress came. first of all, i am uber impressed with the fast, free shipping that piperlime does. they are the bomb dot com. however, the dress was a fail whale.

here it is:

BEAUTIFUL, right? i'd share a photo of how i looked in it, but it would be nsfw. seriously. where it draped over her chest, mine was literally poking out. and the cross slit that looks so elegant on this model was drawing a straight line to my business. not appropriate for any setting, much less a wedding in front of b's entire extended family.

back to the drawing board for this dress.

we are going to a wedding in september. for which i have purchased two different dresses already. and then i found out it's more casual than i thought, so back to the drawing board. i think i found the winner this weekend on piperlime. it's coming in the mail this week, i'll let you know!
