taylor swift.

my birthday present this year from b was tickets to taylor swift. he's not exactly the biggest country fan and my sister went with me last year, so we put on our boots and boogied downtown for ladies night.

closeeeee up.

our seats were AMAZING. we were in row 13.

 so good, so good.

and then my camera died.

not pictured: special guests kenny chesney and tim mcgraw. also not caught on camera, taylor walking two feet beside me. aghhh. she ran to the back of the arena after "speak now" and was high fiving everyone and stopping for hugs. my camera clicked off as she ran by us. emily was recording video on her phone, but freaked out when taylor grabbed her hand, so it's a great shot of the floor, the back of taylor's head and then us screaming.

photos won't really be needed anyway. even with my terrible memory, i'll definitely remember the concert forever. it's a new top 5 for sure.

frist center.

on sunday, courtney and vickie and i met up at the frist to see the andy warhol exhibit.

isn't the frist beautiful? it used to be an old post office and the interior is just as amazing as the view from outside.

lady sunday.

art deco everywhere. it's like transporting back in time.

and the view from upstairs.

i absolutely love it. i feel very lucky to live in a city that has a museum of its stature that can draw exhibits from around the world.

now, about warhol. you can't take photos in the frist, but here's one of my favs i found online.

you feel like you're tripping, right? although dolly is for real beautiful, still today.

there were beds, ballons and VERY odd/scary videos that went along with the usual you'd expect from warhol. i was glad we caught the exhibit on it's last day in town, even if it made me feel like i had done drugs. i actually think that was the point.

art: confusing people since the beginning of time.

katy perry.

friday was the first girl's night i've had in a while. and it was awesome.

melanie, courtney and i started the night at bailey's. view from their patio:

and looking down the street to bridgestone:

and by the time we left it was dark out. {i got called a tourist for taking this photo. you're welcome, blog.}

group shot!

yay!

and here she is! one of the top 5 concerts of my life. {rounded out by garth, garth in vegas, jay-z and t swizz.}

and after that, my camera promptly died. however our seats were EPIC {thanks melanie!}, the dancing was off the hook {i'm talking about myself and vickie} AND she sang FRIDAY. as in, one of my fav songs! such a good show.

and, while i couldn't justify a $40 tshirt {seriously!?}, i did buy a $10 cotton candy. BEFORE YOU JUDGE, the stick is a glow up light saber. you should have seen me whipping it during et. worth it.

manny's house of pizza. and scoutmob.

i typically eat lunch in my work cafeteria with my work bff. on the rare occasion that i go out, i love to go downtown. luckily, all my peeps work there.

and, courtney reminded me that there was a scoutmob deal for one of my downtown favs: manny's house of pizza. thanks c!

sidebar: i knew i loved pizza, but i didn't realize i was eating so {SO} much of it until i had a blog post about pizza every week. whoops.

scoutmob: free deals. i have no idea how they make money. good for us though!

 the arcade!

look, it's manny. {no really, i'm pretty sure that is manny.}

this angle makes the pizza look a mile wide. which it was.

 obligatory downtown building photos.

obligitory photo of us.

this was my obligatory pizza post of the week. hope you enjoyed as much as i did.
